  11. When I started using Motorola Power 28.8
  12. I was recommended the following init. string by Motorola tech. 
  13. support:
  14. AT&F&C1&D2\Q3
  15. MY ISP who runs the same modems recommends:
  16. AT&C1&D2 
  17. (beats me why skip &F(&F is a default factory setting, so why 
  18. bother to call a default anyway, I am confused)).
  19. Today I got an e-mail from Motorola and they advise on:
  20. AT&F&C1&D2\Q2

  22. Can someone explain what is the function and difference between 
  23. \Q3, \Q2 and no q's? Yep, I read in the manual about "flow 
  24. control", but am still wondering what is flowing?
